What is Qontent?

An Italian company that has been operating in the translation and content management sector since 2005. We are partners of companies all over the world, we help companies to compete in the international market.

Why should I entrust my business to you?

Qontent manages quality multilingual content, strictly controlled with the help of cutting-edge technology and with the support of a specialized, competent and available team. Delivery times are strictly adhered to and each translation is subjected to checks in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 17100 and ISO 18587.

What languages do you translate into?

We translate into 100 languages and 2500 language combinations, which is almost all the languages used in international trade.

What type of documents can you translate?

We translate all types of documents from specific specialization areas: medical, gaming, industrial technical, economic and financial, legal, web and international calls for tenders.

What is a certified translation?

It is a declaration that accompanies the translation, issued on company letterhead, stamped and signed, which certifies that a professional translation has been carried out in accordance with the source text. It is required by some authorities (especially foreign) and for specific purposes.

What is a sworn translation?

It is a translation performed by a translator enrolled in the register of the Court, who declares before a judicial official that the translation into a specific language is faithful to the original text.

What is a legalized translation?

Legalization is a procedure that gives legal value to translation. It is usually required for documents issued by government or judicial bodies.
For documents that must be valid in one of the countries that have signed the Hague Convention, legalization is replaced by the apostille.

What formats are you able to translate my document into?

We translate multilingual documents in multiple formats, such as docx, xlsx, csv, pptx, txt, pdf, xml, html and json. We validate layout and format verifying that the rules of the target language, line breaks and image settings are respected.

Do you also deal with the layout of the translated documents?

Yes, we perform DTP (Desktop Publishing) activities relating to the layout of translated texts, we localize images and other graphic elements, aimed at paper or digital publication. We guarantee the optimal layout in the target language, control of the graphic layout and maximum correspondence to the source document. We support the following formats: AutoCAD, InDesign, FrameMaker, Illustrator, QuarkXPress, CorelDRAW and Photoshop.

Can you integrate CAD/CAM software diagrams and symbols into technical manuals?

We specialize in the translation of technical manuals for components and industrial machinery. Our graphics department includes DTP (Desktop Publishing) operators with proven skills in the CAD/CAM domain.

What is the difference between translation and localization?

Translation is the transposition of a text from one language to another, it takes into account the grammatical and morpho-syntactic rules as well as the meaning of words. Localization is a further process, which consists of adapting the original contents to the culture of the target geo-linguistic area.

What is Content Writing?

Content Writing is the creative writing of original texts intended for a specific audience, such as product reviews, website texts, social media posts, press releases, etc.

What types of interpreting services do you provide?

Our team is made up of interpreters specialized in the 3 main interpreting modes: simultaneous, consecutive and chuchotage.

Prices

How much does a translation cost?

The cost of a translation depends on a number of factors: language combination, delivery time, content domain, number of words to be translated from scratch (new), number of repeated words, layout arrangement, any graphic work, additional services etc. The volume of words contained in the source document is carefully analyzed through the use of cutting-edge software. A specific estimate is prepared for each project, based on the analysis of the source document.

Do you require a minimum order?

For small volumes we apply a billable minimum of 100 euro + VAT.

Are you certified?

Qontent is ISO 9001, ISO 17100 and ISO 18587 certified to guarantee the highest quality and security of the translated content.

Are your translations checked?

Yes, each translation is subjected to strict internal quality controls (Quality Assurance Process) carried out by specialists who verify the spelling, grammar, syntax, terminology and layout of the textual content before delivery to the customer.

Payments

What are your payment terms?

We require the first order to be paid in advance. For subsequent orders payment is after 30 days.

What payment systems do you accept?

Riba (cash order), Bank Transfer, PayPal, Skrill, TransferWise and Cryptocurrencies.

Delivery

What are your delivery times?

Delivery times are always indicated in the estimate and depend on the volumes, the number of languages requested and any additional services (certification, layout, graphics, etc.). We also offer an “urgent translation” service with faster delivery times.

What are your delivery methods?

The translated documents are delivered in digital format via email or secure FTP. The original documentation (when requested) is sent by courier to the address indicated by the customer.
